ARCHAEOLOGICAL OBJECTS ON THE SITE PUGUNG RAHARJO


Raharjo Pugung Archaeological Park has an area of approximately nearly 30 acres. From the port city of Lampung, where the culture of this historic location is about 42 kilometers, is located in District Sekampung hicks, East Lampung Regency.

This archaeological park, is a relic ancestors came from two traditions, the Megalithic and Classical. After doing a survey and research by scholars of historical objects in 1968, eventually Central and Local Government conduct the restoration early in 1977. While the second restoration in 1984, managed to reconstruct the historical heritage to its original position.

The valuable historical heritage cultural sites, among others, the site of castle consisting of two elongated mound with a height reached 3.5 meters long and 1,200 meters. While the exterior of the castle, there is a trench or a river with a depth of approximately 3 to 5 meters.
